scholarship program of the Künstlerhaus

The Künstlerhaus Edenkoben awards up to seven scholars every year for authors and translators as well as two for fine arts. The scholarship holders receive a monthly grant of 1,400 euros and a reimbursement of arrival and departure costs. The scholarship conditions stipulate that the stay in the fully furnished and internet -enabled apartments as well as in the studio is binding.

According to the tender, applicants can make scholarship applications, but there are strict conditions. After three unsuccessful attempts, an application cannot be re -placed. The award of a scholarship also excludes another application in the following five years. The decision on the award makes a specialist jury of the advisory board, which underlines the importance of artistic development.

background to artist grants

artist grants are not only financial support, but also a way for writers, translators, artists and scientists to concentrate on their projects. They are often connected to stays in artists, even abroad. The regional funding dominates, whereby the place of residence is sometimes a prerequisite for the application, as can be read on weyrother.net

The offer of the Künstlerhaus Edenkoben is an important element in the landscape of scholarships in German -speaking countries. Through these programs, artists can not only advance their projects, but also build networks and develop artistically.
