Christmas party in Waldhambach: A feast of community and contemplation!

The Christmas season brought festive meetings for seniors in various communities this year. The Christmas party of the Senior Union of the Southern Weinstrasse district association took place in the village community center in Waldhambach and was filled to the last place. Chairman Horst Schwarz welcomed those present and emphasized the importance of the event for the community. For the first time, friends of the Landau senior citizens' Union were also invited, with whom closer cooperation is planned.

The guests of honor included Dr. Thomas Gebhart, member of the Bundestag, the mayor of the community of Annweiler, the mayor of the municipality of Platz and the first deputy of the local community of Waldhambach, Ms. Osmoski. The latter expressed their joy about the events of the senior citizenship in Waldhambach. Dr. Thomas Gebhart spoke about the upcoming Bundestag elections in February 2025 and emphasized the importance of turnout. In doing so, he emphasized the need for a political change to cope with current challenges. Association Mayor Burkhardt delivered greetings and excused the absent district administrator Dietmar Seefeld.

After the words of welcome, a lunch buffet was opened, followed by an entertainment program, which included musical Christmas carols by Wolfgang Gress as well as humorous and contemplative anecdotes. Klaus Haas presented a self -written Christmas poem, and the new member Ingrid Hörner humorously told a Christmas story by Loriot. The end of the celebration was the Nikolaus, who surprised the guests with sweets and gave a look back at the political year. The Christmas party was described as a complete success, with a successful mix of contemplation, entertainment and community, as well as the Wochblatt Reporter reported.
