Celebrate at the 15th Cultural Festival in Bingen: Fun for the whole family!
On April 1, 2025, cultural life in Bingen announced a special event: the Kulturuferfest celebrates its 15th anniversary. This street theater festival will take place on July 6, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Binger Kulturufer, a UNESCO World Heritage in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Entry to this highlight is free of charge, which is an additional incentive for many visitors to experience the artist groups and the supporting program.
On the occasion of the anniversary, 15 artist groups from various areas of the performing art are presented. Acrobatics, music, comedy and cabaret are central components of the program. The interactive performances and the Walkacts promise an unforgettable experience for young and old.
diverse program and culinary
A special highlight of the cultural bank will be the final concert with Susan Brown and the Ballin 'Keen, which promises rockabilly and rock’n’roll from 5:30 p.m.. Before that, there will be live music from Osmo Solo, which performs both classics and own compositions. In addition, guests can expect the premiere of a artisan market with over 40 stands, which offer handmade works of art, ceramics and design objects. The market is open on the same day from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The culinary offer around the festival is also attractive. Local winemakers, bars and regional restaurateurs on the Rhein-Nahneeck and around the museum come together on the electricity and offer delicious dishes and drinks. This diversity will enrich the experience both artistically and in terms of taste.
A look at other street festivals
Similar cultural festivals also take place in other cities, such as the “Berlin laughs” street festival, which took place from July 16 to 31, 2022 at Alexanderplatz in Berlin. This event was part of a 16-day program that included international artists and various performances such as clowning, acrobatics and puppet show. Admission was also free of charge there and the range of activities and meals was wide. Daily 36 shows on two stages offered visitors an incomparable experience.
The comparable between these festivals shows the importance of street theater and cultural events for cohesion in cities and the enrichment of public life. The cultural bank festival in Bingen will again be a place this year where culture, art and community focus.
