Health Day in Bingen: Fit for the future!
On April 2, 2025, a health day for the city administration's employees took place in Bingen, which was carried out on the premises of the Volkshochschule (VHS) and in the cultural center. This event lasted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offered a variety of offers that aimed to awaken the health awareness of the participants. For example, the employees were able to take part in a spine screening, a blood sugar measurement, a stress test and fitness and blood pressure measurements. Nutritional advice and the idea of various company sports groups, which included electronic goal wall shooting, were also part of the program.
As part of the health day, the participants were given the opportunity to combat a “real” fire under guidance with a fire extinguisher. Mayor Thomas Feser, who attended the event, emphasized the enormous importance of raising awareness of the health of employees. "We would like to sensitize the workforce for health issues and provide low -threshold offers," says Feser. However, it should be noted that the health day was only implemented in a small version due to the provisional housekeeping, which led to high demand, which, however, could not be fully operated. A larger health day in autumn is planned, depending on the approval of the urban budget by the Add in Trier.
