On February 3, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred on federal road 9, between Trechtingshausen and Bingerbrück. Two vehicles were involved in the accident: a car that drove from Bingen, and a delivery van. Tragically, the 71-year-old driver of the car died at the scene of the accident. A child who was on the back seat of the car was flown to the hospital with a rescue helicopter, but was available. The 47-year-old driver of the delivery van suffered an arm injury and also had to be taken to the hospital.
