In view of the increasing number of refugees, the Mainz-Bingen district sees itself in the obligation to create additional accommodation options. At the moment, the available capacity is not sufficient to accommodate all the needy. The Kreuzhof in Nieder-Olm and the former hospital in Ingelheim are already used. These accommodations should be expanded as soon as possible. Citizens are called to provide available objects or areas in order to relieve the acute emergency.
