Spring cleaning in Winzenheim: Together for a clean village!

Spring cleaning in Winzenheim: Together for a clean village!
On April 21, 2025, there are several important events and changes in the Bad Kreuznach region. A highlight is the upcoming spring cleaning in Winzenheim, which will take place on April 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The place on the historical barn serves as the starting point for all volunteers who are invited. IMBISSE is offered after the campaign, the mayor Mirko Helmut Kohl organizes the campaign and is also available for questions at local bond.winzenheim@bad-kreuznach.de or by phone at 0671/32076.
The Bad Kreuznach social welfare office will also be closed on April 22nd and 23rd due to a system change. During this time, documents can be handed over at the reception. The reopening will take place on April 24th.
rally for the day of work
Another important date is May 1st, when the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) calls for the nationwide rally. Under the motto "Make yourself strong with us", the event in Bad Kreuznach will start at the Kornmarkt at 12:00 p.m. The demonstration train starts at 11:00 a.m. at the train station. The deputy ver.di state district manager Marion Paul is expected as the main speaker, accompanied by musical performances by Alex Breidt. There are activities such as face painting and a bouncy castle for the younger guests. Interested parties reach Kai Partenheimer at 06131/2816-31 or kai.artenheimer@dgb.de to get more information.
The actions around the day of work focus on the demands for better working conditions, fair wages and social security. Unions also see themselves as a force in the political landscape that wants to work for a fair world of work. Against the background of global developments that show an increase in authoritarianism and social inequality, the use for the rights of the working population is more important than ever, as is discussed in a current article about the challenges for unions worldwide. Discussions and stories of workers, such as Anke, Franziska and Dirk, illustrate the relevance of these concerns.
