In a significant step to combat the lack of housing in Rhineland-Palatinate, the Metropol Journal Recently reports that the country presented a funding notice for the conversion of a hotel in Landau to 13 affordable and air conditioning rental apartments. The conversion takes place in Speyererstrasse and is implemented by Me Montana Estates GmbH. The financing includes an ISB loan of around 1.3 million euros and a repayment subsidy of around 0.5 million euros.

Finance and Minister of Construction Doris Ahnen personally presented the funding notice to the managing director Johannes Fritz. The planned conversion is intended to stop the decay of the village center and create modern living space, which at the same time receives the historical charm of the area. The new apartments are to be offered for a rental price of 7.70 euros per square meter, with an occupancy and rental loyalty for households with medium-sized incomes for 20 years from reference skills.
