Mourners in Neuwied: Experience community and find support!

The Neuwied Hospice Association invites parents to mourn an (adult) child for a special meeting. The aim of this group is to endure the pain, talk about the changed life situation, to share grief and to experience community. The meeting is led by the volunteer mourning companions Hannelore Wilms and Teresa Mautes. The participants have the opportunity to exchange ideas and develop perspectives on a life with grief.

As a rule, the meeting takes place once a month in the office of the Neuwied Hospizverein, Engerser Straße 55, Neuwied. The next appointment is scheduled for Saturday, January 25th, from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Registration is required and can take place on Tel. In addition, the Neuwied Hospizverein offers extensive support for mourners in severe stages of life, especially after the loss of a loved one. Monthly funeral cafes take place in Neuwied, Dierdorf and Linz. Here participants can express their feelings and share grief, under the guidance of volunteer grief attendants.

Another offer is the mourning hikes under the motto "Go and go". The next guided hike is on March 11 from 4.30pm to 6pm in Waldbreitbach, followed by another hike on March 23 at 5 p.m. in Feldkirchen. In addition, a break weekend with Dr. Sylvia Brathuhn organized for bereaved, which takes place in Vallendar-Schönstatt from March 25th to 27th. The aim is to go on personal mourning steps and develop life steps. Registration is required for all events.
