Pallet party in Koblenz: 11 carnival clubs celebrate the victory!

The EVM pallet party, a traditional event of the Energy Supply of Middle Rhine (EVM), has returned in a special form this year. On February 9, 2025, the event was held in Koblenz to support carnival clubs and groups from the region. This event that has been taking place for six years has established itself as a platform that strengthens the colorful and at the same time traditional customs of the carnival in the Westerwald and beyond. WW-Kurier reports that among the eleven winning clubs the carnival society Rot-Weiss Malberg 1934, the pearls from the Rhine from Hammerstein and the Castle Garden Tabor emerge from Montabaur.

A total of 26 clubs reached creative photos for the motto "Green Energy, colorful costumes: show us your Jeckes outfit on the palette", which demonstrates the lively participation of the carnival friends. The competition was decided by a public online voting in which the community could choose its favorites. All non -award -winning clubs received a donation of 55 euros in order to continue to promote their club activities.

regionality and commitment

Marcelo Peerenboom, spokesman for EVM, emphasized the strong regional anchorage and the commitment of the company for people in the region. He emphasized that the EVM also supported the carnival clubs in difficult times, such as the restrictive measures during corona pandemic. As explained in a press release from the EVM, many carnival clubs reacted creatively to the pandemeine challenges and developed corona-shaping alternatives.

The event has developed over the years. While pallets with throwing material were raffled off in the past, in 2022 a total of eleven clubs were able to win 555 euros. In 2025, the number of pallets to be raffled with throwing materials rose to 11 to support even more groups.

A look into the future

Since the pallet party is now taking place for the ninth time, it remains to be seen how the event will develop in the coming years. EVM continues to plan to create a space for creativity and community spirit in the carnival and to support the clubs in its important work, be it through financial help or by platforms that promote the exchange and commitment. The inspiring atmosphere and the celebration of regional traditions show how important the carnival is for cultural life in the Westerwald.
