Infomobile of the Bundestag: Politics to touch in Pirmasens!

The information mobile phone of the German Bundestag is currently in Pirmasens. By Wednesday, citizens can use the opportunities to find out about the political work of their MPs on the parade. The bus is 17 meters long, weighs 26 tons and wears the striking federal eagle. It offers interactive elements such as a virtual tour of the Bundestag and a photo wall with a speaker. There are also 30 seats that can be used for talks with members of the Bundestag to promote the dialogue between politics and the population.

On Sunday afternoon, only a few citizens were present in front of the infomobile. However, this changed quickly when the Kant-Gymnasium's social history performance course with teacher Katharina Mörsdorf visited the infomobil. Mörsdorf noticed that her students have active questions about political work on social networks that they discuss in class. An older Pirmasenser, who was looking for refuge in a conversation with the MPs, wanted to receive information about the committee staffing of the new government and expressed the desire for a stronger presence of politicians in public.

response of the citizens

The feedback from the visitors is mixed overall. Volker Ringelspacher is optimistic: he considers the MPs to be committed and hopes that they can achieve a lot for the region. In contrast, Petra Baas, who was previously active in local politics, is dissatisfied with the current parties and sees an opportunity to reduce disenchantment with politics in the infomobile. Michael Resch also expressed that the infomobile is helpful and that he would like to restore the proximity between politicians and citizens.

The infomobile is operated as part of the German Bundestag initiative, which was launched in 1990. Originally planned for an election period, the infomobile has established itself as a popular platform for political education. It tours all 299 constituencies in Germany from the beginning of March to the end of October and is largely barrier -free to grant all citizens.

visiting times and other stations

The infomobile is available on Tuesday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the town hall on the parade. This is part of a number of appointments that take place in several German cities, including:
