Art in the bedroom: Nina Steigerwald-Liberis conquers Pirmasens!

On March 21, 2025, the opening of the art exhibition "Pacific-Palatinate-Pirmasens" by Nina Steigerwald-Liberis took place in the Bachmann sleeping culture gallery in Pirmasens. Art lovers had the opportunity to admire the works of the talented graphic designer and illustrator. The exhibition is permanently open until June 30, 2023 and offers a variety of works of art, including watercolors, acrylic paintings and epoxy resin art.

This unconventional presentation of art in an everyday shop environment aims to reduce barriers for visitors. "Some of the works hang on beds and mattresses, which conveys a special effect in the bedroom," explains Werner Bachmann, who operates the gallery, and emphasizes the special concept of this exhibition.

artistic influences and works

Nina Steigerwald-Liberis, born in 1994 and born in Rodalben, not only creates art with her work, but also addresses home and identity. One of her most striking works shows a slope with white pirmasens letters, which can be interpreted both as a homage and as a sarcastic comment on the home. There is also an advertising sign that represents the city name of Pirmasens in a deliberately kitschy aesthetics.

Another highlight of the exhibition are their watercolors, which show typical German landscapes, including a river landscape with delicate colors, as well as a dark home view that was stimulated by inspiration sources such as the film "Nosferatu". Steigerwald-Liberis has also acquired the technique of the epoxy resin to create organically acting images.
