New Year's reception in Pirmasens: Celebrate with Mayor Zwick!

On Friday evening, January 10, 2025, the New Year's reception of the city of Pirmasens took place in the festival hall. A total of around 500 guests were present. The atmosphere was festive and good, with many loud laughs, which were particularly heard at the standing tables. This event not only offered those present the opportunity to exchange New Year's greetings, but also to meet in a convivial atmosphere.

The reception started at 6 p.m., with the guests being entered in the festival hall from 5.15 p.m. Members of the city board, supported by the landgraves, warmly received the visitors. Mayor Markus Zwick gave a speech in which he sent those present the best wishes for the new year. The musical framework was designed by Franz Wosnitza and his Marching Band, a well-known jazz veteran from Landstuhl, which is valued for his swing and dixie style.

invitation and program

A total of around 1,600 personal invitations were sent, although all interested citizens were also cordially invited to take part in the event - even without a special invitation. After the official part, the guests were able to talk to each other with drinks and lye confection by 9 p.m. and maintain a pleasant exchange. The mood was good and testified to the joy of greeting the new year together.

The city of Pirmasens would like to promote the sense of community with such events and create a space for encounters. Such receptions are important social events that strengthen the bonds within the community and give citizens the opportunity to exchange ideas with their city representatives.

For 2025, the city is planning further events in which the citizens are to be actively involved. The New Year's reception was only the first step in a year full of opportunities for participation and encounter.
