Dance fun for everyone: line dance and ice age workshop in Pirmasens!
The Catholic Family Education Center & House of the Pirmasens family offered two new courses in May 2025, which open up exciting opportunities for both learners and searching for founding founding experience. The first of these courses is a line dance offer that starts on Tuesday, May 6th, from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The course takes place in the Catholic Family Education Center in Pirmasens and appeals to Tänzer of all ages because there are no dance partners.
In this course, special importance is placed on easily learned step sequences. The participants dance in rows, which strengthens the sense of community. Line dance, like other dance forms, is a recreational sport without pressure and is ideal for promoting memory, coordination, endurance, mobility and balance. Interested parties have the opportunity to register with Winfried Agne, the course instructor. The contact details are: 06331/2039715 or info@fbs-pirmasens.de.
The pleasure of the line dance
line dance is often appreciated as a sociable activity that attracts a wide age group - from children to seniors. The comparison with jogging shows that this dance style also requires physical fitness, but is not as one -sided. Dance evenings in the line dance usually last about two hours, with fun being in the foreground.
At these events, wish lists for dances are often handed over to the DJ. In the first dances, the musical speed is between 100 and 120 bpm and can even achieve 180 BPM and more with advanced dances. Line Dance not only promotes physical fitness, but can also reduce the risk of dementia, as an American study shows. It is also recommended in the pharmacy surge to operate dancing to prevent osteoporosis.
workshop for fathers and children
In addition to the line dance course, a special workshop will take place on Saturday, May 24th. This is aimed specifically at fathers with children between the ages of 9 and 12 and is entitled "In the footsteps of the ice age hunters". Here the participants can expect an exciting insight into the world of cro-Magnon people, their works of art and inventions.
The workshop is managed by Andreas Stern and lasts from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Fathers and children can research and learn together here. For this workshop, the registration is also made via the same contacts: 06331/2039715 or info@fbs-pirmasens.de.
The Catholic family education center thus sets a clear sign of promoting community feeling and education in the region. Dancing as a sports form is not only understood as a physical activity, but also contributes to improving mental skills and social interactions. People of all ages are invited to participate in these courses that offer an excellent opportunity to stay active and make new contacts.
For everyone who wants to discover the health benefits of dancing for themselves: the possibilities are diverse and range from dance schools via fitness studios to spontaneous dancing wherever music plays. The offer in Pirmasens is an ideal opportunity to try this out and become part of a living community.
