Consumer Day 2025: Tips and promotions for your rights in everyday life!

On March 5, 2025, the Consumer Center Rhineland-Palatinate about the upcoming activities on World Consumer Day on March 15. The central goal is to clarify consumers about their rights and support in everyday questions. In several cities, including Kaiserslautern, Koblenz, Ludwigshafen, Mainz, Pirmasens and Trier, the consumer advice centers operate committed advice centers.

This year's actions focus on consumer rights for online purchases and a class action against Vodafone. In order to actively integrate the citizens, information stands for March 12 and 17 are planned. Topics such as the debt collection, the fakeshop finder and the support for problems with postal and parcel services are presented.

World Consumer Day, which has been committed by international consumer organizations since 1983, serves to draw attention to the rights of consumers and to strengthen awareness of consumer protection. This year, the consumer advice center is organizing 24 free online lectures on the occasion of this day, which offer information on topics such as cost traps and fake shops from March 14 to 18.

The need for a forward -looking European consumer policy is becoming increasingly clear. Topics such as climate protection and sustainable economic development play an increasingly important role. Consumers are to be supported to promote climate -friendly behavior and to be protected from risks.
