The city of Pirmasens is faced with several challenges in 2025, such as Rheinpfalz.de Trust is of crucial importance as a key factor for coping with these tasks. A critical attitude towards politicians and business bosses can be felt in society. Citizens are asked not to negatively assess the city council and the mayor in advance and demand that local politicians do not behave patronized. Listening and serious understanding must be central in the dialogue between citizens and politicians.

In February 2025, the Bundestag election and the election of a new district administrator in the Southwest Palatinate district are pending in Pirmasens.
