Young stock exchange master: Teams from Rhein-Hunsrück conquer virtual markets!
As part of the Börse 2024 business game, a total of 212 participants took part in 93 teams in the region of the Kreissparkasse (KSK) Rhein-Hunsrück. This is part of the Germany -wide engagement, in which 113,000 pupils, students, trainees and young adults have been actively dealing with various investment strategies, both traditional and sustainable, in the past four months. According to Wochenspiegel were placed at this time around 1.4 million virtual trade orders, which led to an impressive total sales of over five billion euros.
The high number of orders placed and the trading volume corresponded to that of an entire savings bank. The event focused not only on the trading results, but also the knowledge and ability of the participants to make clever financial decisions. The winning teams in the area of the KSK Rhein-Hunsrück have now been awarded.
The winners of the business game
- 1. Place: Team "Robin.hn" of the professional high school Simmern (starting capital increased from 50,000 euros to 63,147.36 euros).
- 2. Place: Group "Dividends Dudes" of the Herzog-Johann-Gymnasium (HJG) Simmern (portfolio of over 20 percent).
- 3. Space: Team "The Kaiser duo" of the IGS Kastellaun.
- 4. and 5th place: student of the Kant-Gymnasium Boppard of the BBS Simmern.
Special attention received the sustainability assessment, in which the “Plan” team of the HJG achieved the highest sustainability yield with EUR 3,173.70 and thus secured the 1st place in Rhineland-Palatinate. In this evaluation followed:

- 3. Place: Team "Fortune Fumblers" of the HJG.
- 4. and 5th place: Other students from the Simmerner high school.
The experiences and the knowledge that the participants from the Börse have taken part, are highlighted by KSK Rhein-hunsrück as the basis for further financial education. This initiative not only promotes financial understanding, but also the ability to deal responsibly with money and make necessary decisions.
The feedback from the co -performers show that such projects are important in order to prepare young people for future economic independence. It remains exciting how the participants of the current round will develop in the long term.
