Separation of the L335: Construction work between Braubach and Dachsenhausen are delayed!

The L335 between Braubach and Dachsenhausen has been closed since the end of July 2022, which forces all road users to redirect. This block has an impact on truck traffic, which is led via the Becheln route, while car traffic is redirected to Kreisstraße 70 to Hinterwald. The current construction work, which is designed for a period of 13 months from the planned resumption in July 2023, have significantly lost speed due to unfavorable weather conditions such as snow and sub -temperatures. In addition, unforeseen problems with the rock stability delay the progress of the renovation, explains the Rhein-zeitung.de .

The extensive work on the L 335 also includes the optimization of the lines, setting pedestrian lights in Dachsenhausen and Bechel to protect pedestrians, as well as the renewal of the road and the drainage facilities. This is intended to guarantee the sustainable elimination of damage to the road and the valley -side embankment. Furthermore, gabion walls with a backlash are built in two curves to minimize the interventions in biotic surfaces. The investment of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate for this measure amounts to around 4.7 million euros, while the Loreley municipal community spend an additional 1.2 million euros for laying a wastewater canal and an empty tube in the state road. It is planned to close a gap of 2.7 kilometers between two already completed sections, plus earlier expansion measures in 2014 and 2021-2022 as well as the request of the LBM Diez and the VGW Loreley for the traffic disruptions.

technical details and infrastructure

As part of these construction work, various techniques and construction methods are used to meet the requirements for quality, noise reduction, economy and traffic safety. These aspects are particularly important because streets are an essential part of the infrastructure in Germany, crucial for the mobility of the population and economic development. The Landesbetrieb Mobility Rhineland -Palatinate is responsible for the functionality and maintenance of the road network and is also dedicated to the quality test and security. The goal is clear: the creation of permanent and safe traffic areas and paths.

The construction project on the L335 is part of a broad strategy to renew the traffic routes in Rhineland-Palatinate, which not only improve the quality of the streets, but also increase traffic safety for all participants. With the completion of the current work, a significantly improved transport infrastructure is expected, which should support both access to local business and the general accessibility of the region.
