New coach, new luck: HSG Landau/Land starts with Markus Badinger!
The HSG Landau/Land presented a new coach for the women's team with Markus Badinger. Badinger, who previously worked at HSG Trifels, has extensive experience from the women's area. On the call from Manfred Siener, the game manager of the HSG, Badinger initially reacted with the remark that they were not physically fit. Siener urgently looked for a trainer because the team in the Oberliga is fighting for the qualification for the Rheinhessen-Palatinate League.
Markus Badinger replaces Joachim Benz, who can no longer train the team regularly for professional reasons. Previously, Badinger had helped out in the Landau men's team. However, his debut for the women's team was unfortunate: the players had to accept an 18:28 defeat against SG Lambsheim/Frankenthal. Despite a promising start with a 4-1 lead and an intermediate status of 9:10, the team could not build on the performance.
Current team and ligast situation
The HSG Landau/Land women's sports team is currently in the seventh place in the table and is asked to make up for at least one place to achieve the qualification for the Rheinhessen-Palatinate League. The next home game against the second in the table HSG Dudenhofen will take place on Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Ost sports hall in Landau. After this game there is a three -week break, which may give the team the opportunity to catch up again.
parallel to the challenges of the women's team, there are exciting developments in the male e-youth of the HSG Landau/Land. In the 2021/22 season, 18 young handball players started the new season, which were divided into two teams. The aim is to offer each player both commitment and operational times and at the same time to strengthen the team structure.
Development of the young talents
The trainers attach great importance to technology, ball feeling and the joy of playing handball. With two weekly training sessions, a concept was developed that focuses on the individual promotion of players and their teamwork. Every training session should not only serve the technical improvement, but also promote fun and team spirit.
handball is not only a sporting activity for children, but also promotes social skills such as fairness and responsibility. At HSG Landau/Land, emphasis is also important, and the children get to know the value of cooperation in a team. Playful challenges in training awaken enthusiasm and strengthen the self -confidence of the young people.
Those responsible for the e-youth cordially invite interested new players to train and become part of the team. The commitment to the training of young talents is also a signal for the sustainability of handball in the region.
