Honorary Dr. Paul Schafler celebrates 95th birthday with a big party

On April 1, 2025, numerous guests of honor gathered in the Dudenhofen community center to the 95th birthday of Dr. To celebrate Paul Schafler. The former district administrator and honorary citizen of the Rhine-Palatinate district was recognized on this special day with a reception. Among the guests were prominent personalities such as members of the state parliament Michael Wagner and Johannes Zehfuß as well as the designated district administrator Volker Knörr and the CDU district chairman Patrick Poss. District Administrator Clemens Körner, supported by Norbert Becker, formerly scientific director of the district music school, and Josef A. Geyer, supported the speech. His daughter Barbara Schadler was also present and spoke in personal words about her father.

dr. Paul Schafler, born on March 24, 1930 in Zeltingen, is an important CDU politician. He studied legal and state sciences at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and held various offices, including as a government assessor at the Worms district office and later as a personal speaker of the Rhineland-Palatinate Minister of the Interior in August Wolters. In 1967 he became district administrator of the district of Landau and took over the management of the district of Ludwigshafen two years later, which was later renamed the Rhein-Pfalz district. From 1983 to 1991 he was President of the Rheinhessen-Palatinate and has been recognized as an honorary citizen of the Rhein-Palatinate district since 2012.
