Clean Schifferstadt: Together for a garbage -free city!
Schifferstadt is preparing for an important event: The garbage collection campaign "Clean Schifferstadt" will take place in a few weeks, specifically from March 6th to 8th. Mayor Ilona Volk and the city administration call up all citizens, clubs, schools and kindergartens for active participation. In this initiative, the streets and parks should be freed from garbage together to beautify the cityscape and to set an example for the community.
Participating Citizens can pick up free garbage bags at the town hall's information from March 3. On the day of the campaign, March 8, the sacks are also available on the FSV 1913/23 site from 9 a.m. It is recommended to bring your own gloves with you. The city service takes care of the collection of the sacks provided, so that the collected waste is properly disposed of.
invitation and coordination of the action
Interested parties can contact Christiane van Bemmelen to coordinate the collection points. It can be reached on 06235 44-229 or by email at Christiane.vanbemmelen@schifferstadt.de. The city administration also organized an attractive get-together: on March 8, all helpers are invited to a snack on the FSV site from 12 p.m.
The "Clean Schifferstadt" campaign is part of a worldwide movement in which citizens in urban and rural regions become active. In recent years, these environmental initiatives are increasingly shaped by the commitment of young people who are increasingly involved in climate activism and set important impulses for changes. Young people demand measures against climate change and are committed to protecting the environment to leave a better world for future generations.

Actions such as public demonstrations, school strikes and international conferences are an expression of their demands for quick action.
in Schifferstadt and elsewhere it shows how important such local initiatives are. They not only strengthen the sense of community, but also contribute to the awareness of environmental problems. The exchange and cooperation between different generations make it clear that environmental protection is a common task.
The coming days in Schifferstadt offer a way to actively improve your own environment and at the same time set a sign of more environmental awareness.
