Sports badge award in Dürkheim: A festival for the best!

On April 20, 2025, the sports badge was awarded in the TV gymnasium of TV Dürkheim. Despite the wonderful sunny weather, the number of participants was lower than usual this year. Gerd Kopp, who worked as a sports badge fighter for over 13 years and acted as an examiner since 1989, received special thanks from Erika Müller-Kupferschmidt, the district representative for the German sports badge. Kopp himself has put the sports badge 37 times and has set itself the goal of reaching the 40th time. To his honor, the examiners gave him and his wife Ingrid anniversary wine-sparkling wine.

For the coming season, Anja Hoffmann and Mark Sammet have succeeded Kopp as a new leadership duo. A total of 59 sports badges were awarded this year. Among the award winners was the mayor Natalie Bauerschmitt, who reached the "Gold" category last year. The 94-year-old Rosi Kreiskott also emerged with her 48th sports badge in gold, as did 89-year-old Ludwig Mesel, who has received the golden badge 20 times. Klaus-Jürgen Preuschoff is the most successful participant in the event with 65 times.

future sports badge tests

The sports drawing team plans to offer exams in the stadium in the coming season, regardless of a club affiliation. The test cards are issued on site in the stadium, and the last submission date is October 6, 2025. Adults pay a fee of 5 euros, while young people up to 17 years old, provided they are members of the club, can take part free of charge. For adult participants from LC Bad Dürkheim and TV Dürkheim, the costs are eliminated because they are taken over by the clubs.

particularly highlighted is the inclusive offer for people with disabilities, but for whom an appointment is required. The turndisciplines may also only be removed after prior consultation with Helga Steiniger. The following dates for the disciplines are planned at the Dürkheim stadium:
