After the prayer, a small snack is offered to offer an opportunity to exchange ideas with the bishop. Parking spaces at the location are signposted and the journey can take place via Kapiteltal.
About Bishop Dr. Karl-Heinz Wiesemann
Bishop Dr. Karl-Heinz Wiesemann is the 96th Bishop of Speyer. Born in 1960 in the Archdiocese of Paderborn, he was ordained a priest in Rome in 1985. From 1994 he was a pastor in Menden-Bösperde and later provost in Brilon. He received one of his most important appointments in 2002 when Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop. The ordination took place on September 8, 2002 in the Paderborn cathedral. In 2007 the appointment as Bishop of Speyer by Pope Benedict XVI followed, and on March 2, 2008 he took up his office in the Speyer Cathedral.
Wiesemann not only gets involved in his diocese, but regularly visits different facilities and companies. His visits serve to exchange ideas with employees and the early record of the working conditions on site, as well as Wochenblatt-reporter.de reported.
The visit to ZAK thus represents a connection of spiritual exchange and practical insight into the everyday work of waste management. The event not only enables direct contact between the church management and the employees, but also a broader discussion about the social challenges and their solutions in the region.
