The association of friends and sponsors of the Speyer senior citizens' office chose a new board. Alexandra Mally takes over the chair of Reinhard Kreimer, who has been active since the beginning of 2023. The "European Film Festival of the Generations" was brought to life after a Corona-related break in November. The initiatives, including the "Generations Initiative Kronau", took part. The Ministry of the Federal Ministry is pursuing the goal of promoting education and access to digital technologies for all older citizens. As part of these initiatives, the “digital pact of old”, which creates local contact points, is created to train older people in social, health and mobility -related topics. 300 contact points are to be set up by the end of the project.
Another important project is "Digital Engel Plus", which uses mobile advisory teams to convey digital skills. In addition, in April 2025, the “Education and Commitment for a lifetime” (Bell) program will start, which will promote educational offers and commitment opportunities for people aged 60 and over.
