AV 03 Speyer, the eight-time German team champion and defending champion, strives for the ninth weight lifting crown. Next Saturday, April 25, 2025, the decisive competition will take place at 6.45 p.m. in the Heidelberg Olympic base. With a comfortable lead of a good 20 kilop points to the pursuers from Chemnitz and Obrigheim, who each won six and four titles, the Speyerers are optimistic about the finals. From Speyer's point of view, however, the competition still seems to be serious, since the services in the first Bundesliga round 2024/25 are very close together.
The contingent of AV 03 Speyer consists of the following athletes: Solfrid Koanda, Lisa Marie Schweizer, Simon Brandhuber, Milena Thiele, Sandra Hacker, Jonathan Partyka as well as the duo Julia Schwarzbach and Jürgen Spieß. Trainer Hinderberger is confident and emphasized that in the best line-up, each team can exceed 900 kilopunkt brand. The title is awarded to the team, which has very few failed attempts. In addition, the second foreigner square remains unclear because Robin Maru from Moldova has to deal with knee problems. If his symptoms do not improve, Christopher Murray from Great Britain could step in as a replacement.

Antonio Conflitti, President of the European Weightlifting Federation (EMF), also enthusiastically commented on his experiences at the first Bundesliga event he visited.
