Talents on the mat: JSV Speyer celebrates 20 years of the children's tournament!

On March 9, 2025, the traditional Heiner Sprau Memorial tournament took place in Speyer, which was organized by the organizers of the Judosports Association (JSV). Around 65 young talents took part in this tournament in a framework that was characterized by tension and feeling of community. The event, which has become so familiar in its structure, now looks back on almost 20 years of history and has been naming the name of a special club member for eleven years.

Heiner Sprau, the long -time chairman of the JSV, is honored with this tournament and his heir lives on in the hearts of the participants. The competitors encountered their fears and uncertainties with the support of mentors and adolescents who, as coaches and referees, led the newcomers through the challenges of the competition.

competition rules and atmosphere

Before the competition began, the participants were informed about important rules. This included, among other things, that no earrings were allowed to be worn, the hair should be styled in a bun and that no undershirt could be worn under the judogi. These regulations ensured that the atmosphere of the tournament remained both professionally and safe.

A common warming up under the guidance of Michael gave the judoka's additional self -confidence. The young athletes were suggested to overcome their uncertainties and still do their best. Each participant was able to look back proudly because all judoka received a medal in gold, silver or bronze regardless of their placement. In this experience, many of the young fighters found an opportunity to defeat their fears and to make new friendships.

ceremonial conclusion and commitment of the families

After the award ceremony, the event continued with a well-attended mini disco, which offered the younger participants the opportunity to end the competition day properly. The numerous activities also included a movement course and a station rally that enabled the children to have additional fun and movement.

The parents were also actively involved. You could choose between different offers, including Taiso, Move & Relax, Fitness, Self -Defense and Karate. These hands -on offers not only provided a colorful diversity, but also the integration of families into club life.

A special highlight was the honor of long-standing members, which was accompanied by an impressive Taiko demonstration. In addition, the successful school team of the high school was celebrated on the Kaiserdom, who was able to win the 3rd place in "Youth trained for Olympics". The high number of young fighters and helpers who supported the day was particularly appreciated by the organizers.

Overall, the organizers of the JSV once again demonstrated through this festival how important the commitment and support within the judiciary community are. Many thanks went to everyone involved who contributed to a successful event that will be remembered well.
