Climbing leisure in Bad Bergzabern: Adventure for young brave!
Eight young people from Bad Bergzabern took part in a three-day climbing leisure time during the autumn holidays, which took place in climbing halls in Landau and Karlsruhe as well as in the Funforest Park in Kandel. The event was organized by the school social work of the Alfred Grosser school center Bad Bergzabern. Sarah Lenhardt, Martin Krisch and Klaus Kloiber were characterized as responsible supervisors. Thanks to a generous donation of 500 euros by the Star Care Rhineland-Palatinate E. V. could be offered free time free of charge. The district committee southern Weinstrasse unanimously accepted the donation.
District Administrator Dietmar Seefeldt emphasized the importance of cooperation with Star Care Rheinland-Pfalz e. V., while Georg Kern, the first district deputy, emphasized the importance of such leisure activities for socially disadvantaged children. Hannelore Schlageter, the head of the youth welfare office, also reported on the positive effect of leisure, which was offered for the second time for childcare children.
experiences and personal developments
Overall, the climbing leisure was geared towards promoting courage, teamwork and trust. The participants reported interesting developments by the young participants during the three days. A boy who initially broke off a climbing tour showed great interest in a climbing group at his school. This positive turn illustrates how important such leisure activities are for the personal development of young people.
The last activity took place in the Funforest Park in Kandel, where the participants had the opportunity to climb up to 14 meters high walls. Participants like Michael Kimmich and Jürgen John von Star Care e. V. as well as the school social workers Martin Krisch and Sarah Lenhardt were also on site and supported the children in their climbing experience.
commitment to socially disadvantaged children
Leisure was initiated in particular for children and adolescents from socially disadvantaged families. Georg Kern emphasized the value of such actions and emphasized that the support of Star Care has contributed to financing numerous holiday offers for supervised families in recent years.
These leisure activities are not only a way for sporting activities, but also an opportunity for the children to gain valuable social experiences and to promote their personal development. The organizers and supervisors reported the positive impressions and progress that the children made during their free time.
The initiative shows how complex and important the offer of leisure activities for children from difficult conditions is to offer them new perspectives and self -confidence. The continuing support from local organizations such as Star Care Rheinland-Pfalz e. V. is crucial.
In this way, not only the immediate fun of leisure activities is promoted, but also worked on the development of the children in the long term.
