Power supply to change: modernization in Altdorf and the surrounding area!

Pfalzwerke Netz AG recently started with modernization work on its power supply network to improve the energy supply in Altdorf, Freimersheim and Böbingen. These measures are part of a comprehensive project for the renewal of central switchgear in the medium -voltage network. The aim is to accelerate the reaction to disorders and to shorten the downtimes, as the

meaning of the medium -voltage network

The medium -voltage network plays a crucial role in the electricity distribution. It extends over routes of a few kilometers to 100 km in rural areas and typically consists of high -voltages of 10 kV or 20 kV. These networks supply several localities or districts and are indispensable for ensuring a stable electrical energy supply, as is explained on wikimedia

In Germany there are two medium -voltage levels, 30 kV and 10 kv, which work in parallel. The networks are crucial for the feed -in of regenerative energy sources and maintaining security of supply. With the increasing energy transition and the European energy trade, it is becoming increasingly important to modernize the infrastructure and to meet the steadily growing requirements of the electrical energy network. The Federal Network Agency emphasizes that sufficient generation capacities and resilient regulatory mechanisms are necessary to ensure network stability.

In view of these challenges and the progressive modernization work, it becomes clear how important it is to invest in the infrastructure in order to ensure security of supply for the future.
