SG Eppenbrunn secures the 10th indoor tournament title!
The SG Eppenbrunn successfully defended its title at the 23rd football hall tournament of the Pirmasens-Land community. In an exciting final, the favorite team won 3-1 against SV Hochstellerhof. This outstanding performance already marks the tenth tournament for the SG Eppenbrunn, which was once more than the strongest team in indoor football.
Over 350 spectators followed the exciting games in the sports hall of the Dahn school center. Among those present were also numerous guests of honor, including Klaus Maiß, the chairman of the organizer SV Hochstellerhof, and Mayor Klaus Weber. Together with other club representatives such as Nicolas Eichhorn, Dennis Neb, Bastian Brauner and Christian Zarbel, they watched the exciting encounters.

In the course of the tournament, the SG Eppenbrunn showed an impressive performance in the group phase and ended its group as a first place with a goal difference of 23: 3 and a total of 12 points. In the semifinals, they clearly defeated SV Obersimten 3-1. The SV Hochstellerhof, also strong, prevailed in the other semi -finals with an identical result against Hilster SV.
The final started promising for SG Eppenbrunn: Andrei-Catalin Roman put the team in the lead after 42 seconds. The SV Hochstellerhof was able to compensate for in the 7th minute by Yannick Drews, but Luca Mangold quickly restored the old distance. Roman put the crown on the game with another goal shortly before the end.
In the so -called "small final", SV Obersimten prevailed 3-2 against Hilster SV after an exciting game and secured third place. A true thriller in which both teams changed leadership several times.

The award was particularly outstanding for the participants. Daniel Danner from SV Hochstellerhof was chosen as the best goalkeeper, while Maximilian Mayer from Hilster SV was awarded 11 goals as the best scorer of the tournament. In addition, FC Ruppertsweiler received the Fairnes Cup, which underlines the importance of Fair Play in sports.
The chief organizers Michael Roos and Willi Hunsicker have put together an impressive event. The positive feedback from spectators and participants shows the excellent organization and the great popularity of the tournament, which was always a highlight in the regional sports calendar in the previous years.
With this tournament victory, SG Eppenbrunn has once again played in the foreground of indoor football and will surely be a favorite in the coming season.
