The Franco-German lighthouse project, which focuses on the intercultural work of the daycare center, has recently received crucial recognition. The daycare center Liederschiedt plays a central role in this cross -border cooperation. Support from EU funding

In 2023, the daycare center received a funding of 20,000 euros from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate to support the application process for the Interreg project. Mayor Klaus Weber of the Pirmasens-Land community emphasizes the essential role of Interreg funding for the lighthouse project. This financial support ensures that the municipality is relieved and offers long -term planning security for the daycare center.

The daycare provider is the Pirmasens-Land community on the German side, while on the French side of the Sivu. The state of Rhineland-Palatinate supports the daycare center as part of the daycare law and bears almost half of the personnel costs. Due to the cross -border concepts, however, there is an additional need for financing, which cannot be borne solely by the municipalities.
