The B53 between Schweich and Longen will be fully locked from April 9, 2025 for a period of about four weeks due to extensive renovation work. The measure affects a section of around 2.3 kilometers, which is used by around 5,600 vehicles every day, of which around 4% are heavy traffic. These work, which is to be completed on May 3, 2025, are necessary because the condition of the street no longer meets the requirements for federal roads. The renewal of the damaged asphalt ceiling and the road markings are planned. The full closure is required to protect the construction site staff and due to the low road width.
