Elmar Zuszn, a 75-year-old former Smutje of the Gorch Fock, recently started his return to the world's oceans. This time as Smutje on the Alexander von Humboldt II , an impressive civilian sailing ship with a length of 65 meters and a sailing area 1360 square meters. The crew consists of 20 members, including spanned, who works as a chef in the combination during his trips.

The Alexander von Humboldt II was put into service by the German Foundation Sail. Under optimal conditions, the ship can reach speeds of up to 13 knots. Driving on such a ship is not only a challenge, but also a welcome opportunity for a client to demonstrate its culinary skills.
