Saarbrücken enthusiastic: New restaurant Le Petit Cinq convinces gourmet!
The selection of excellent gastronomies in Saarland is expanding: In January 2025 the restaurant in Saarbrücken newly recommended in the Michelin Guide. This makes the restaurant part of the exclusive list created by the renowned restaurant guide. Inspectors of the Michelin Guide are traveling all year round to discover the best culinary addresses. These recommendations are updated monthly.
Le Petit Cinq, which is located in the Boutique Hotel Esplanade in the Nauwieser district, offers an informal culinary option and opened on the resting days of the two-star restaurant Esplanade. Chef David Wottke, who had previously worked in the Esplanade for seven years, stands for a casual-tongue-forced and sensual aroma kitchen. The philosophy of the restaurant is based on the use of regional products from biodynamic agriculture.
diverse menus and creative dishes
The restaurant offers two WEEKLY changing menus with three or four gears, including a selection with fish or meat and a vegetarian menu. The creative dishes that guests can expect include, for example, carpaccio from the radish with lime vinaigrette, radish sorbet, confit de canard with Brussels sprouts, cranberry and balsamic vinegar.
Le Petit Cinq was opened in the summer of 2024 and joins a list of seven other restaurants recommended in January 2025. These include the Marly Privé in Mannheim, Marcel von Winckelmann in Passau, the restaurant 1250 in Pfronten, Osteria La Fenice in Cuxhaven, Schwarzgold in Dortmund, Pinus in the Seegut in Friedrichshafen and Mizar in Würzburg.
