Roofing fire in Trier: Fire brigade saves residents from flames!

On Sunday, January 5, 2025, the Trier professional fire brigade was alerted for an assignment in a new base. At 3:40 p.m. the first message about a roof structure fire at the science park was received. On site it turned out that it was an apartment fire in an attic apartment that was triggered by a defective heating.

A total of around 40 emergency services from the Trier professional fire brigade were deployed. These use fire trucks from Wache 1 and Wache 2, as well as the extinguishing trains Olewig and Kreisen, supported by a commissioned vehicle 2, an emergency doctor vehicle and two ambulances. When fighting the fire, it was found that a resident of the affected apartment was injured while attempts to extinguish. He was immediately taken to the hospital. The fire brigade carried out the extinguishing measures with severe breathing protection and was able to successfully combat the fire.
