Nordbad Trier opens its gates: Easter egg search for young and old!

on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, the Nordbad in Trier opened its doors and thus marked the beginning of the bathing season in the region. From 10:00 a.m., both "small and large bathers" found a special surprise: a comprehensive Easter egg search that made the opening a festive event. Stadtwerke Trier (SWT) are happy about the renovations and improvements that meant that the energy -efficient heating technology of the bathroom is now ready for the season. This allows visitors to swim and relax under optimal conditions.

The new opening times of the Nordbad are attractive. The doors are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday, while on Sundays and on public holidays the bathing time continues from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The admission prices have also remained stable and enable inexpensive leisure activities. Adults pay 5 euros for admission, while the reduced price is 3 euros. For frequent drivers there is the ten card for 44 euros (reduced: 24 euros) and a season ticket that is available for 150 euros (reduced: 100 euros).

Availability and arrival

Visitors are encouraged to reach the Nordbad on foot or by bike, as it is picturesque on the Moselle. Cyclists can park their bikes in a special parking space. There are several stops nearby for arrival by bus: the “Nordbad” stop is operated by bus line 9 and is only a short walk from the bathroom. Alternatively, the “Zurlaubener Ufer” stop (bus lines 2, 7, 8, 87) is about 900 meters away.

It is advisable for drivers to use the address "Zurmainer Straße 120, 54292 Trier" for the parking lot. This enables a comfortable journey so that visitors can quickly enjoy the jump into the cool water.

The season in the Trier region begins in the coming weeks, and the Nordbad is only one of several bathing returnees. The outdoor pool on the Weihern will also open, depending on the weather conditions, but an opening between the end of May and early June is expected. In addition, the Ruwertal outdoor pool in Mertesdorf has been closed since 2024 to 2025.
