Master exam: Twelve farmers celebrate their end in Warth!

The Warth technical school was today the scene of an important step in agricultural training. On this day, April 25, 2025, the exam for agricultural master took place. Twelve candidates have successfully passed the Commission's examination and can now describe themselves as masters in agriculture. These graduates are now part of the elite of the best -trained farmers.

The three-year master course represents the crowning glory of a practice-oriented training in the agricultural sector. Course director Johann Riegler congratulated the graduates and emphasized the essential importance of this training for the future viability of agriculture and forestry. The focus of the training is on sustainable corporate management and the creation of a personal operating development concept.

The challenge of master training

Master training is considered the highest qualification for practitioners in the agricultural sector. It not only offers comprehensive further training in the technical, but also in the entrepreneurial area. The examination chair Anna Katharina Bernhardt emphasized the need for well -trained farmers in order to be able to cope with the challenges of the future. This training is carried out by the Lower Austrian Agricultural and Forestry Apprenticeship and Specialist Training Office in cooperation with agricultural technical schools, which underlines the quality and relevance of training.

The master examination itself is aimed at preparing the participants for specialist and management tasks in agricultural companies. The aim is to determine whether the participants have the necessary knowledge, skills and experiences in order to pass the exam and complete them as a master agricultural master. In order to be admitted to the master examination, various requirements must be met.

admission requirements and examination content

Admission to the master examination requires a degree in the apprenticeship farmer or a related agricultural profession. Candidates with a degree in the farmer's profession also need at least 2 years of practical experience, while graduates from other agricultural professions have to prove at least 3 years. People without formal training can also participate with a professional practice of at least 5 years.

The examination content is diverse and include both theoretical and practical aspects. The three main areas include:

• production and process technology: practical master thesis, examination and written exam.
• management and corporate management: Written master thesis and assessment of a foreign company.
• vocational training and employee management: examination situations regarding training and employee management.

The preparation for the master examination takes place under the guidance of the Chamber of Agriculture and through part -time classes at agricultural schools. The total duration of the master's examination is about 2 years, with various exams that can take up to 1 year. The costs amount to a total of over 1600 euros, which cover a variety of examination fees and teaching material costs.
