Neunkirchen project choir inspires with festive Christmas music!

Christmas time in Neunkirchen got a special sound. The project choir of the Catholic parish of Neunkirchen has been active for three years now and has achieved a “best level” since its foundation this year. Under the direction of Simon Hoffmann, the choir has regularly rehearsed in the past few weeks to present musical highlights for the festive services.

The rehearsals started in mid -November and led to impressive performances in the Christmas mass and at the service on the second day of Christmas. Among the highlights of the musical program included "Ecce Novum" by Ola Gjeilo, the Christmas lifting song by John Rutter, as well as "Now you are happy to see Christians", which was sung in an alternating change between the choir and the community. Also the piece "Open you, you goals" by Colin Mawby and parts from the Missa Brevis in F by Robert Jones found their place in the program, such as Oberpfalzecho.de reported.

New musical project by Ola Gjeilo

In addition to his current publication, GJeilo plans various new projects, including a Norway-inspired choral and piano album as well as a solo piano album that is inspired by the calm and light at sunrise. A new recording of the "Sienna" play for piano trio and other piano reflections at the seasons are also on his list of projects. His collaboration with choirs such as Tenebrae and Voces8 as well as the publication of note material for different casts, such as SATB, SSAA and TTBB, are also emphasized, such as olagjeilo.com reported.
