Construction work in Birkenweg: Worms residents have to expect restrictions!

In the urban area of ​​Worms, comprehensive construction measures are imminent. From April 22, 2025, construction work in Birkenweg will begin and extend to Erlenstrasse. This is a fundamental renewal of the road on a 150 -meter -long section between the bike pit path and a large pasture. This information was provided by Mercury.

The construction work is divided into two parts. First of all, preliminary examinations will be carried out from April 22, 2025, which are connected with parking bans and barriers. Afterwards, from April 28, the actual expansion begins. The exact duration of the construction work is currently still unclear, but the full expansion of the entire public transport area is the focus of the project.

In order to inform the residents in advance about the upcoming construction work, a direct notification is carried out by throwing. During the construction period, access to the houses is guaranteed, including for rescue vehicles. Nevertheless, the residents have to park their vehicles outside the construction area, since no access to the affected land is possible during the construction phase. The city asks for the understanding and consideration of the residents to ensure that the construction work runs smoothly.
