On Saturday evening, January 25, 2025, the 127th men's wine evening of the song table took place in the Neustadter Saalbau. With over 1,000 celebrating men, the guests filled the 1,058 places of the event. The high demand was shown on the basis of the mixed reactions of those present - from anticipation to rejection. In an elegant wardrobe, many in a suit and tie, the participants experienced an evening full of tradition and new elements.
The chairman Frank Sobirey started with his opening speech. Here he crowned the 2023 Riesling half -dry of the old Steigelmann winery from Mußbach to the wine king of the evening. However, the decision to give up this wine caused disagreement among the guests. Not everyone agreed to the innovation, which influenced the mood in the hall.

A special highlight of the evening was Paul Tremmel's poem, who at 95, as the oldest member of the meeting, made an emotional contribution. In addition, the FDP State Secretary Andy Becht held a brief speech in which he advocated a calm handling of the topic of "vineyard". The German wine queen Charlotte Weihl sent a video message to send her greetings.
Comedian Christian "Chako" Habekost, who delighted the audience with excerpts from his Christmas program. The atmosphere reached its peak when the Freddy Wonder Combo, since 2014 the house band of the evening, encouraged the audience to sing along. Many guests stood on chairs and sang the nostalgic songs. The family circus wisdom also contributed to the festive atmosphere with acrobatic interludes.

The evening ended at 10 p.m. with the final choir "Bacchus we thank you", accompanied by bell strikes, and the cozy end of the event. Despite the festive framework, the men's wine evening remained a place of tradition in which the representative culture of the new vineyards lives on, which makes the region a popular destination for wine lovers.
