Riga Mainz: Innovative Kranbau from Mainz relies on sustainable future!

riga Mainz is a leading company in the heavy-duty crane industry and looks back on over 90 years of history. Founded in 1929 as the "AutoRandienst Mainz" by Cuno Riga, the company has developed into an important player in large cranes, specialty lifting technology and heavy -duty projects in Germany and Europe. Uwe Langer, who has been in management for 27 years, led the company in 1998 and attached great importance to technical understanding of the crane systems and a positive corporate culture.

Langer is convinced of the need to invest in the ailing infrastructure of Germany. He sees considerable need for action, especially in the case of bridge renovations. Riga Mainz runs over 40 cranes with load capacity of 30 to 700 tons and heights of up to 188 meters. The projects include not only various German projects, but also work in Bora-Bora and cooperation with the train. The next big celebration is already pending: the company will celebrate its 100th anniversary in four years.

The story of Riga Mainz

The "CR" in the company logo is a tribute to the founder Cuno Riga, which originally started with the trade of cars and later converted trucks of the army. In 1967 his daughter Inge, together with her husband Friedel, took over the management of the company, and in 1985 the name for "AutoRandienst Mainz - Riga Mainz" was changed to emphasize the family tradition. Under Uwe Langer's leadership, the company was further modernized and strongly invested in the areas of self-driving transport modules (SPMTS) and the shifting and lifting technology.

Riga Mainz currently employs 115 people at the Mainz-Mombach and Ludwigshafen locations, many of them have been working in the company for many years. Langer understood to create an excellent working atmosphere that focuses not only on the satisfaction of the employees, but also their development. He believes in opportunities and promotes young talents, such as a business student who has proven to be a valuable employee during his internship.

The competition and innovative strength

Riga Mainz is not alone in the crane construction industry. For example, Kranbau Köthen, a company with over 80 years of experience, is also known for tailor -made crane systems. The company based in Köthen produces cranes with load capacity of 50 to 650 tons and offers extensive solutions from planning to service. Kranbau Köthen has become one of the leading crane manufacturers in Europe since 1933 and attaches great importance to German expertise and certified quality.

An innovative product of Kranbau Köthen is the Pro-Kran assistant, an assistance system that helps to take care of the loads safely in real time, especially in situations with a limited perspective. This shows that the industry is constantly developing new technologies to increase security and efficiency.

riga Mainz remains up to date by continuously integrating valuable systems and technologies. Uwe Langer sees the future of the company optimistic and emphasizes the importance of continuous learning in a constantly developing market. The history of the company continues to be written, while it is due to tradition and innovation.
