Foxes in need: Peta saves animals from scandalous attitude!

The Kusel district veterinary office recently saved two foxes from animal welfare stance. This rescue operation took place in the Kusel-Altenglan community and was initiated by information from the animal welfare organization PETA. According to Rheinpfalz PeTA received a note in September.

The animal welfare organization now raises severe allegations against the owner of the animals. PETA plans a criminal complaint because of the poor posture conditions. During the review by the Veterinary Office, it turned out that the foxes lived in a partly inadequate environment. It is a small grid shed of only 10 to 15 square meters, which was attached to the owner's house and emitted a perceptible stench from the outside. During the check, the hunter left the fox voluntarily to the authority.

past grievances and current consequences

In addition, three foxes were saved in this action from another poor posture in Schellweiler. These foxes had previously been misused in a slept system that is used to train hunting dogs for the hunt for foxes and badgers. According to peta presseportal , the animals are now psychologically heavy.

In a sanctuary in Saarland, two of the rescued foxes were accommodated, while one of the animals was able to escape beforehand. PETA has also requested the closure of all locking systems in Germany, since there are currently still around 100 to 150 of these systems, which are often operated in a critical condition. PETA is committed to speciesism that propagates the evaluation of animals due to their relationship.

regulatory framework and animal welfare

The current situation makes it clear how important strict monitoring of animal husbandry is. According to the legal requirements, institutions that consider or kill animals must be regularly checked by responsible authorities. These controls are based on a risk analysis and must be carried out unaffected by external factors to protect the animals. The operator of such institutions must also name the responsible persons authorized to issue instructions and lead the relevant records, as in animal protection law.

The current rescue operation and the associated criminal charges are an important sign in the struggle for the rights and protection of animals in Germany. PETA and other animal welfare organizations are committed to better conditions and against those who keep animals under unsanitary and cruel conditions.
