King of the lions in Trier: A musical adventure inspires everyone!

On January 19, 2025, the audience in the Arena Trier experienced a unique concert experience with the performance "King of Lion - The Music Live in Concert", which was presented by the Cinema Festival Symphonics Orchestra under the artistic direction of Stephen Ellery. The event attracted viewers of all ages, from toddlers to seniors, and ensured a rousing atmosphere.

The musical performance, which was not designed as a performance of the musical or the film, offered an intensive emotional journey through the well -known story about Simba and Nala. The highlights of the performance were the great music of Hans Zimmer and the popular songs by Sir Elton John. Kim Shepherd particularly stood out among the soloists, while a choir of about 15 singers actively contributed to the ensemble.

musical impressions and atmosphere

The first half of the concert was a bit unusual for many in the grandstand. Here the choir had difficulties, and the close line -up had an impact on performance. Nevertheless, the orchestra's enthusiasm clearly came into its own, which creates a strong musical atmosphere. The canvas animations were described as "okay", but this did not reduce the orchestra's ability to generate profound emotions.

The musical execution of well -known titles such as "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", "Morgenreport", "I want to be king" and "are ready", which were all presented in German, was particularly impressive. However, it was noted that the accent of the singers was often incomprehensible, so that an English performance would have been advantageous.

an emotional highlight

After a 50-minute performance and the piece "Circle of Life" followed a break before the second half of the concert with sonorous pieces such as "Hakuna Matata" and "It can be really love" was continued. These sections of the performance continued to increase in intensity and emotions. The atmosphere in the hall was even more urgent with the improvement of the canvas animation, especially with the impressive star image of Mufasa.

public favorites, such as the e-bass Solo and the Saxophone solo by conductor Stephen Ellery in the audience itself, caused further highlights. The interpretation of "Spirit" turned out to be particularly moving and strengthened the emotional connection to the characters of the piece. Finally, the artists were rewarded by an enthusiastic audience with solemn encores and cheering applause while celebrating on the edge of the stage.

The approximately 1,500 spectators went home and were once again the opportunity to experience "the king of the lion - The Music Live in Concert" on January 21, 2025 in the Saarlandhalle Saarbrücken. In the coming weeks, the ensemble will also appear in other cities such as Würzburg, Munich and Vienna to commemorate the emotional power of the Oscar-winning soundtrack of Hans Zimmer, which was created 27 years ago for the film. The mixture of African rhythms and epic melodies continues to captivate the audience, while the performances of well -known hits such as "Hakuna Matata" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" round off the concert program.
