Heiko Collmann remains head of the rabbit breeding club in Blieskastel!
Heiko Collmann will remain chairman of the Blieskastel rabbit breeding association this year again. The committed breeder was unanimously confirmed during the annual general meeting in the Gollensteinhütte and has been leading the association since 2004. In view of the five -year break, in which the club had no significant activities, Collmann is optimistic about regaining the previous success. The association currently has 20 members, including six active breeders and two breeding communities.
The breeding focus of the breeder breeder is on the rearing of small silver yellow and loh rabbits in black. As part of the new board, Michael Alff was elected as deputy chairman, Dirk Alff as cashier, Bettina Gros as secretary as well as Herbert Linder and Stephan Gros. Bettina Gros also takes on the tasks of the youth chairman and tattoo master, while Herbert Linder fungates as a breeding book leader. Dirk Alff has the role of the exhibition manager and breeding attendant; Heiko Collmann also supports this as another tattoo chief.
planned events and activities
The association has already planned several events for 2024. These include:
- Easter egg hunt on Good Friday, April 18
- Young animal show on August 23 and 24 in Niederwürzbach
- Alternierschau on November 22nd and 23rd in Zweibrücken
- Participation in the Bundes rabbit show on December 20 and 21 in Karlsruhe
These events not only offer breeders and interested parties the opportunity to exchange ideas, but also attract many visitors who are interested in the various breeds and breeding methods.
growth of the rabbit breeding association in Germany
The popularity of rabbit breeding grows in Germany, not least through published journals, such as the rabbit newspaper, which has established itself as a leading information medium for pedigree breeders. This magazine, which acts as the association organ of the Central Association of German Racial Ribbon breeders (ZDRK), addresses essential questions about breeding and keeping and offers its readers valuable information on problems in inheritance and health management. Race and breeding portraits and an extensive schedule can also be found in the rabbit newspaper, which is written by well-known breeders and recognized specialists to ensure the quality of the information.
Overall, the signs for the rabbit breeding association Blieskastel are on growth and new beginning. Collmann and his team's enthusiasm could help promote interest in rabbit breeding not only in the region, but also throughout Germany.
