New momentum at the Saarpfalz-Gymnasium: Excited the open day!
On December 7, 2024, the Saarpfalz-Gymnasium in Homburg organized an open house. The new headmistress Katja Grauvogel and her team presented the foreign language sequence as well as the school focus and the pedagogical didactic concept. The focus of the events was particularly aimed at the fourth graders and their parents, who received numerous offers and information on this day to find out more about the school.
The activities included trial lessons, information offers from the student councils and various participation offers. The high school offers three profiles: Spanish as a third foreign language, natural sciences and computer science. Older students led the guests through the school rooms and presented various offers there, including the functionality of a 3D printer, the effects of a leaking space suit on astronauts, an experiment with gummy bears as well as information about the adventure and cooperation.diverse offers and personal advice
In the gymnasium, the fourth graders were able to try out a fitness course, while in the music hall there was the opportunity to play on a garden hose trumpet. In addition, pupils from the upper level offered homemade cakes. The partner school from La Baule also took part in the event and sold freshly produced crepes, which underlined the long -term friendship between the students of the two schools.
The school management and the parent representative were available for personal conversations throughout the day and informed the interested parents about the school form and the transition. A comprehensive range of voluntary all-day school was also presented, which gave the numerous visitors a deep insight into school life and the offers of the Saarpfalz-Gymnasium.
