on May 2, 2025, at 6:02 p.m., the Spiesen-Elversberg volunteer fire brigade was alerted to a forest fire in the Ruhbach valley near Elversberg. Passers -by who discovered the fire chose the emergency call and triggered an immediate use. A total of 22 vehicles and 74 emergency services were involved when the fire brigade evacuated the site and secured the pollutants. Special forces in chemical protection suits neutralized the dangerous substances before the building could be released again. This large operation ended shortly after 3:40 p.m.
