Quick help on site: Rears Südpfalz save life!
In an emergency situation, every second counts, especially with a cardiovascular arrest. In such cases, the possibility of providing local medical help is becoming increasingly important. Thanks to the smartphone-based first aid alarm, the so-called “outsourcing” can be faster at the scene than the regular emergency services. This initiative is particularly gaining attention in the region around Landau, where the first training courses for new painters have recently taken place.
On March 27, the first training for 15 new “freeds” in the southern Palatinate started. The response was positive, and those responsible are already planning further training dates. The next first briefing will take place on April 24 at 6.30 p.m. in the Southern Weinstrasse district administration. Further training dates are scheduled for May, June and August.
training and target group
The training is aimed at different groups: active members of fire brigades, members of aid organizations such as the ASB, DRK and DLRG, employees of the technical relief organization as well as doctors and other medical staff are invited to register.
To take part in the training courses, registration is required. Interested parties can contact the website of the city administration or by email to the fire and disaster protection at Kats (at) nospamsUedliche-weinstrasse.de.
smartphone-based emergency aid
The concept of smartphone-based alarm, which is already successfully implemented in Gütersloh, for example, has proven to be effective to accelerate medical aid in emergencies. First aiders can quickly be alerted via the cell phone and led to an emergency location, which can be life -saving in critical situations. The mobilization of local residents also optimizes the response time and ensures that help is provided faster.
In order to raise awareness of this important initiative, the city administration of Landau and the district administration southern Weinstraße have published a press release. The need for trained rifles is unmistakable in view of the growing number of participants and the positive feedback.
