Schools in the district awarded for innovative health projects!

On February 5, 2025, the award ceremony for the premium program of the district's bonus program in 2024 took place in the Vocational School Fürstenfeldbruck. The event awarded a total of 15 schools that convinced with special health promotion projects. A total of 9,000 euros were distributed in prize money, which were based on the placement of the schools.

All participating schools presented their projects in front of a jury in autumn 2024 that consisted of district councils and members of the administration and was headed by the deputy district administrator Martina Drechsler. The importance of health projects for schools can be clearly seen in the award -winning initiatives.

Excellent projects and their contributions to health promotion

The first place shared two schools, both of which developed innovative approaches to promote their students' health. The FOS Germering presented its project "Healthy through the FOS - more move instead of just sitting". This comprehensive program includes sports tournaments, a volleyball group and an Olympics that should promote interest in movement. In addition, a weekly "moving break" was introduced, in which footballs and badminton sets are available. A free fruit and vegetable box for self-service complements the school's health offers.

The Vocational School Fürstenfeldbruck also set standards with its health week. Here all 17 classes took part in workshops for nutrition, movement and relaxation, supported by physiotherapists, nutritionists and sports scientists. A health -related hiking day rounded off the activities and promoted awareness of an active lifestyle.

national initiatives for health promotion in schools

The premium program is part of a larger trend in Germany that aims to strengthen health education in schools. An example of this is the model project "basic health", which is aimed at primary schools. Schools can make funding applications at the University of Osnabrück if their activities are related to health promotion. This has suggested many schools to initiate projects in the areas of nutrition, movement and psychosocial health.

In addition, the project team Clever.GESSEUT from Helmholtz Munich offers support for schools who want to implement health projects. Their goal is to integrate the topic of health more into everyday school life and to promote health AGe, voting subjects and P seminars.

The headmistress of the Vocational School Fürstenfeldbruck, Andrea Reuss, once again emphasized the importance of sustainable projects and their positive influence on the students. The award and promotion of such initiatives are crucial in order to achieve long -term changes in behavior in young people and to improve well -being as a whole.

Overall, the award ceremony in Fürstenfeldbruck not only illustrates the commitment of schools, but also the importance of health education in the school system. The associated program initiatives impressively show how schools can actively contribute to the decisive health promotion for our society.
