On April 20, 2025, in Nauheim in the Groß-Gerau district, a unfortunate incident occurred in which a six-year-old boy was seriously injured. The boy crossed a playground on a skateboard when he was hit by a slowly approaching car. The 73-year-old driver of the vehicle apparently had difficulty seeing the little boy in good time and could no longer stop. Tragically the boy was caught under the car.
