Anna Plitzko has collected 21,112 euros for her book "Firlefanz am Rainbow" via a crowdfunding platform. The book addresses star children, i.e. babies who die in the womb or shortly after birth. Plitzko introduced the term "star mothers" to name the special experiences of these mothers. After the book was published, she had numerous discussions with readers, which gave her a deeper insight into the needs and emotions of those affected.
A caller needed time to talk about her experience as a star mother, which Plitzko sees as an important step in dealing with such experiences. Looking at the past year, she describes it as formative and recognizes the need to talk about the topic. To support those affected, Plitzko launched a new format: "Book a conversation with me" on Instagram. There are two offers of discussion: a one-time conversation and a four-week accompaniment with regular exchange meetings and daily impulses. Plitzko expressly emphasizes that this is not therapy and that it does not put pressure on it.
