Wanted goalkeeper talent: Your way to FC Augsburg Young team!

FC is looking for talented young gatekeepers to promote the next generation of football players. In particular, male goalkeepers from the vintages 2013 to 2017 and female goalkeepers of all years are invited to take part in a special trial training session in the FC Academy. Interested parties have to apply by submitting a video for about 90 seconds that show their skills. This can be seen from the information from fc.de

For creating the video, creativity and the implementation of various exercises are expressly permitted. A football, a goal, a shooter and a (cell phone) camera are required. In order to give potential participants the necessary orientation, an additional video is provided that explains the exercises and evaluation criteria in more detail.

During the sighting day, techniques that are essential for the position of the goalkeeper are queried. This includes reactionability, fishing techniques, coordination training, training on the line and football -specific techniques. In order to further professionalize the training of goalkeepers, a comprehensive program was developed. It consists of four parts and aims to adapt the exercises to the respective performance level of the goalkeepers. This individualization is intended to optimally promote the talents. The fourth part of the program focuses particularly on the "basic techniques of the goalkeepers" and forms the core of every training session. The authors of this training program are the renowned goalkeeper coach Andreas Kronenberg, Michael Fuchs and Marc Ziegler, who have set themselves the goal of conveying the necessary tools to the young talents.
